in the raw vu
About This Spot
Stepping into in the raw vu is like slipping into a quiet moment above the city’s usual rhythm—a peaceful pause with views that stretch over Tulsa’s skyline. The space feels thoughtfully curated, where modern design meets warm, inviting details, crafting an atmosphere that’s both elegant and unhurried. Here, the soft glow of city lights mingling with gentle interior lighting encourages lingering conversations and shared moments.
It’s the kind of place that quietly sets the stage for meaningful occasions, whether you’re marking a special evening or simply savoring a change of pace from the everyday. The pace here is relaxed but purposeful, with a subtle energy that reminds you dining is about more than just food—it's about the connection around the table and the small discoveries made with each bite.
The menu unfolds like a gentle exploration of flavors and textures, offering sushi rolls and sashimi that feel fresh and thoughtfully crafted without overwhelming. Beyond the classics, there are inventive dishes that invite curiosity, catering equally well to seasoned enthusiasts and those new to Japanese cuisine. From delicate slices of salmon sashimi touched with unexpected hints, to rolls that balance spice and richness, the food complements the refined ambiance without ever feeling formal.
One of the quietly defining features is the balcony—a rare perch in Tulsa where you can take in the view while sharing bites of spicy tuna rolls or a tempting poke bowl. It’s a spot many find especially appealing for intimate evenings, where the cityscape becomes part of the backdrop to the meal rather than just a setting.
The service, while generally attentive, encourages a bit of ease; it’s not rushed or overly polished, but human and sometimes delightfully imperfect—the kind of service where your server’s knowledge may invite further questions, making the experience feel more personal and less rehearsed.
in the raw vu is quietly elegant without pretense, a thoughtfully paced urban hideaway with food designed to invite exploration and connection, whether you’re here for a date night, small group gathering, or a moment of calm amid the city buzz.

It's fancy. Makes one feel like you not in Tulsa anymore. Food was a bit over average. I had ChoCho Beef and Korean Hot Wings. Good flavor. Price a bit much for the small portion size. I can't talk about the sushi. I didn't order any but my friend did. He loved it. Best part is balcony and view. Not many places offer similar. I recommend it for dates.

Food was amazing, the atmosphere wonderful, the waitress, not so much. Disappeared for long stretches of time. Wasn't busy so not sure what she was doing but had to Ask other wait staff to go get her. Had a great time, just needed a little more attentive waitress. Will return.

The atmosphere was beautiful. It was at night, so the city lights and decor inside was beautiful. Our server was good but couldn't recommend a wine or knowledge on the sake. I wanted to try a plum/sake cocktails on their signature menu but she said it was way too strong. One and I would be done. Lol Decided on a cold Saki that turned out yummy. Sushi was very good and tried garlic bean thingy in their pod, think Edumi, Eduni?? It was fantastic. It was a big group for a beautiful young ladies birthday. Enjoyed this place very much.

We came here to celebrate our anniversary, and from start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. To kick off the evening, we ordered the yellowtail sashimi, lump crab cakes, and Diablo shrimp—all of which were absolutely fantastic. Each appetizer was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. For our main course, we chose the High Roller Sushi Combo, which included the ID Roll, Volcano Roll, and Nirvana Roll. Every bite was packed with flavor and creativity—we were so eager to dig in, we forgot to take a picture first (always a good sign)! We ended the meal on a sweet note with the chocolate gateau, which was rich, decadent, and the perfect finish to an already outstanding meal. We were seated right away with our reservation, the service was prompt and attentive, and the evening views of downtown added a special touch to the whole experience. Highly recommend for a romantic date night or even a casual night out—you won’t be disappointed!

Between the views, food, and service this place is on my must go back to do again! The cooked sushi is a wonderful plate for those like me who are novices and want to try some new flavors. The hot sampler was also very good, and I would definitely order it. Give this place a try for your next date night or girls night out.

We went out for our 19th anniversary and they gave us this amazing dessert to celebrate. My husband had made our reservation and let them know the occasion. The view is so pretty, we love going just for that reason but the food is amazing!! They also have one of my favorite cocktails in all of Tulsa the Lucy Rose. It is soooo good! If you love sushi, good cocktails and a beautiful view you have to go! We went on a Monday night so a reservation wasn't really needed but on the weekends it is, keep that in mind. The staff is super friendly with multiple people checking on us.

Always great service. Always great music, atmosphere, and vibe. We love this place. The filet with cream lobster is always perfection and we like to add a side of fried rice to go with it. The lemon drop martini and egg rolls are also a must!
